Tsar

What is a tsar you may ask? Well, a tsar is like a roman emperor. These people have very high class and are very rich. Since they were so wealthy, they could do whatever they wanted with their money meaning use it to show off their palace. Originally, during most of its history, the title tsar meant Emperor in the European term. Tsar is a ruler who has the same rights as a Roman or Byzantine emperor due to recognition by another emperor or a supreme official (the Pope or the Ecumenical Patriarch) except he ruled in Russia.

In the early years

In the early years of Russia, the Russian rulers expanded their power, built armies, and seized land. These rulers had complete control over the government, much like a dictator. In the late 1800's, the Russian government began to change their ways, or industrialize. Railroads began to spread along the country and the economy began to rely on manufacturing.

Ivan the Terrible

Ivan IV Vasilyevich or Ivan the Terrible was born in 1530 and died in 1584. Ivan was the prince of Muscovy from 1533 to 1584, and the first to be proclaimed as tsar of Russia in 1547. He is one of Russia’s most brutal and notorious rulers. Ivan oversaw the vast expansion of his country, and then brought it to near ruin. He took over the throne at the age of three and regents ruled for him until the age of 16, he had himself crowned tsarand as a boy, Ivan IV suffered from the regents.

While he was treated with respect in public, in private he was often neglected and tourtured. He also witnessed the boyars fighting to come to power. These two things are believed to have caused Ivan IV to be cruel.

The last tsar

The last tsar was Nikolay Aleksandrovich Romanov II (he was known as Nicholas II). His rule ended with the Russian Revolution of 1917, after he and his family were executed by Bolsheviks because he was so evil. So as soon as he resigned, he and his family had to go in to hiding for saftey's sake. He was born in 1864 and died in 1918 he ruled as the last Russian emperor from 1894 to 1917. His reign was marked by wars with Germany (1914-1917) and Japan (1904-1905) and by increasingly sharp conflict between ethnic groups and classes.

Did pretty good on your wiki page. Some weaknesses though are, the introduction paragraph, it took me a while to figure out what a Tsar was. Also all your links went to wikipedia or dictionary.com . I liked how you put a bubble share to show you what Tsar's looked like. I also liked the information you put on this page but it could use some more explaining.

I really like this page and hears why: god info, pics, links etc. I think it can be better though because almost all your links go to wikipedia which is not the most reliable source. Second some sentences did not make sense and were not in kid friendly language, last it did not have enough content under each heading and the formatting was wrong in some places. Over all I would probably give this page a low C. other wise you did a really good job researching the TSARS!

Although this is my groups wiki page I have a few suggestions, #1. I like the pictures and bubble shares.
#2. I know we could have added in different types of links because wikipedia is not always completely acurate. I think I would only give us an 83% because I know we didn't or atleast I didn't put as much effort as I could have.

hello it's Alyssa, anyways you had great detail and pictures. You could use a little more detail though. You had few grammar and spelling mistakes but you could use more link though. You did a good job over-all.

You guys did an ok job. Heres why there isnt a lot of content the table of contents is messed up which makes the page look cramed, and there is an ok amount of links. If you guys would go and fix those your page could be a bit better. But you guys did a good job.

I think your page could use more content. I would give it a 2. If you ordered your envents in the "Last Tsar" subtitle then I would giveit a better grade than a 2. i realized that you had good pictures though. I liked how you had a picture of a real life Tsar! I'm not sure about the lengths of the paragraphs...keep them consistent.

Hey Guys,

Overall, I think your wiki page is a good beginning. You've built a solid foundation of content and have some good subtitles to start with. There were many sentences that I thought were awkward, though, and I wanted more detail in almost every subtitle.

With a little more spit and polish, this page could be terrific.
