 YALTA CONFERNCE

On the 4th of February 1945 the Big Three (Roosevelt, Churchill ad Stalin) met at Yalta, on the Crimean Peninsula. It was the second of the large war time conferences, preceded by Tehran in 1943, and succeeded by Potsdam (After Roosevelt's death) later in 1945.

There was an agreement that the priority would be the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany. After the war, Germany would be split into four occupied zones, with a quadripartite occupation of Berlin as well, prior unification of Germany.

Stalin agreed to let France have the fourth occupation zone in Germany and Austria, carved out from the British and American zones. France would also be granted a seat in the Allied Control Council

The Three Governments realize that the war has caused special economic difficulties for Iran, and they are agreed that they will continue to make available to the Government of Iran such economic assistance as may be possible, having regard to the heavy demands made upon them by their world-wide military operations, and to the world-wide shortage of transport, raw materials, and supplies for civilian consumption. (Declaration of the Three Powers Regarding Iran—December 1, 1943)

WHAT HAPPEND AT THE YALTA CONFERENCE

After World War I, the political right in Germany developed a myth called the "stab in the back" theory to explain its people's defeat. Though military leaders had helped the war's end, they fixed blame on civilian leaders—especially Jews, socialists, and liberals—for "betraying" the brave German fighting men. later this got picked up by Hitler and the Nazis to stoke the populist that fueled their rise to power.

The Soviet leader refused to travel farther than the Black Sea Report of Yalta in the Crimean Riviera for the next meeting and once again Churchill and Roosevelt took long trips to atend the alta summit. so the alta confrence was one of the biggest confrences so many people went threre wasn't a lot of room.

You really need to format better and tou need more info. You also need to work on your title. one other thing that you need to work on is your pictures and you need to take out the google search.

Overall , I thought that this wiki page was pretty good. The major thing that I didnt like that much were the red and black headings. They were kind of tacky. You had lots of good links and there was interesting information. One other thing was you might have wanted to add a little more content.

I would rate this a 3 because although you have connected it to Russia and there are many links, I think you should try to improve the amount of info and the grammar/spelling. This is a great start, but that's all it is, a start.

You guys really had extemly little content and links but you really did go over the top on the bubble shares. I also relized that your side bar was really big which means you really didnt put anything on your page except for stuff you didnt need at all to make you page look good. You should look at the Gulag page. They did really well on their page.

I think thought your page deserved a 2, and this is why. I think the black and red headings are really cool. Im surprised that there is just sentances very where, and the formatting wasent that good. Im not sure why the bubble shares are still there when there not working.I'd like to know more info about the Yalta Conference, but your page doesnt really say a lot. If you just added more info, and did better formatting then I think your page would have been really good!!! ~Alexia C.

Unlike some of the earlier comments, I actually liked the different colored heading bar and think it added some neat style to your wiki page. I also think that you found some good subtitles to include in your research. Unfortunately, you've got two big weaknesses: You've copied and pasted a lot of your text---which is not good researching---and you've got lots and lots of spelling and grammar errors. In one place, you called the conference the "alta" conference. That's kind of a big mistake.
